Paul has B.A. in Business and Economics from VMI and a long history of working in IT leadership positions. He has filled a range of positions, serving as an engineer in the US Navy to an IT coordinator for two K-12 school systems to an IT director and IST program head for a community college to an IT administrator for the Orthopaedic Center of Central Virginia.
He sincerely felt there was a need for better IT services in Central Virginia than what the market was offering at the time, so he began Distributed IT Services in 2008.
However, his relationship with like-minded businessmen, Jeremy and Scott, inspired him to dream bigger. Thus, with a combination of experience in IT and strong, entrepreneurial desire, Paul--along with Scott and Jeremy--began Integrated Technology Group in 2012.
Since the company has taken off, he believes his favorite part of working at ITG is feeling that there's been a positive impact on the growth of someone else's business. He also gets an equal amount of satisfaction from getting the opportunity to grow ITG on a daily basis, creating a workplace that people seem to enjoy and challenging/growing people.
Favorite thing to do in your spare time?
"Anything outdoors (hunting, fishing, etc.) and spending time with family outdoors."
Favorite Lynchburg/Forest restaurant?
"New London Steakhouse, Depot Grille and Waterstone."
Advice for prospective ITG candidates?
"Never give into the nay-sayers in life. Never allow someone else to determine what you can and can't do. Some people said I was crazy or stupid for starting this thing, but people are more the author of their destiny than they realize."
